Infant Baptism: Parents should enroll in the three hour class during pregnancy, if possible. Contact Father Mitchell for class times & dates: 885-7780 ext. 11
First Holy Communion: Children receive this sacrament when they are in the second grade. Father Mitchell teaches four parent classes: two in the fall for First Reconciliation & two in the spring for First Communion. There are also two Retreats for Children: one in the fall and one in the spring. Second grade students receive preparation instruction in their regular Religious Education class. Children older than second grade should enroll in the Children’s Catechumenate class (see below).
Confirmation: Teens seeking the sacrament of Confirmation must be at least sixteen years of age and must have at least one year of religious education classes prior to enrolling in the Confirmation class. Confirmation classes will meet one Sunday per month so that teens may attend regular Religious Education classes concurrently. Classes begin in September.
Children’s Catechumenate: Children in third-grade through fifth-grade who are delayed in receiving the sacraments of Baptism or First Holy Communion should enroll in this class. One parent must also attend this weekly class with their child. Classes will begin in September.
Youth Catechumenate: Children and teens in sixth-grade through twelfth-grade who are delayed in receiving the sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion, or Confirmation should enroll in this class. One parent must also attend this weekly class with their child. Classes will begin in September.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA): This class is offered for both for Catholic adults who are delayed in receiving the sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation, and this class is also for any adults who are considering joining the Catholic Church. All classes are taught by Father Mitchell. Classes begin in September.
Marriage Preparation: Couples seeking the sacrament of marriage should contact Father Mitchell: 885-7780 ext. 11 at least nine months prior to anticipated wedding date.
