Welcome to Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish  Welcome to Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish

Welcome and thank you for visiting the Holy Redeemer parish site. We are the newest of the Roman Catholic parishes here in southwest Washington. Archbishop Alexander Brunett, Archbishop of Seattle established the parish in September of 2000 to meet the needs of the growing east Clark County area.
After nine years in leased space at Mill Plain Center, we moved on to our campus at 17010 N.E. 9th Street, Vancouver. In September of 2008 we occupied the Parish Center for administrative, educational and social activities. We began worship in our new church at the Easter Vigil in 2009. The church was solemnly dedicated on September 27, 2009.
We invite you to come worship with us. We invite you to join in our work to build up the Kingdom of God here in east Clark County.

In Christ,

Fr. Joseph P. Mitchell, Pastor

Wednesday, February 17th is Ash Wednesday. Masses and distribution of ashes will be at 7:00 a.m., 11 a.m., and 7:00 p.m. This is not a holy day of obligation.

Lenten Regulations: Catholics in the United States who are age 14 and older are obliged to abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday and on all Fridays during the season of Lent. Catholics who are 18 to 59 years old are also obliged to fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. On a day of fasting, one full meal is allowed. Two other meals, sufficient to maintain strength, may be taken according to each one’s needs, but, together, they should not equal the other full meal. Eating between meals is not permitted, but liquids, including milk and juices, are permitted. The law does not oblige when health or ability to work would be seriously affected. Self-imposed observance of fasting on all weekdays of Lent is strongly recommended, as is abstinence from meat on all Fridays of the year.
